  • Campaign for greater environmental awareness: Münzer Deutschland GmbH launches regional campaign to collect used cooking oil.
  • Local presence: Employees explain the importance of collecting used cooking oil at REWE stores in Heusenstamm.
  • Sustainable contribution: Collected used cooking oil is processed into environmentally friendly biodiesel.

Münzer Deutschland GmbH is setting an example for more sustainability and is launching a campaign to collect used cooking oil in collaboration with REWE tenant Sedat Tekin. On Saturday, 7 September, from 10:00 to 15:00, interested citizens can visit two REWE stores in Heusenstamm (Am Lindenbaum 3 and Frankfurter Straße 14) to find out about the correct disposal of used cooking oil - and ideally bring their used oil with them.

Direct contact with citizens

Albert Bechtoldt and Johannes Kallien from Münzer Germany will be on site to seek direct contact with citizens. ‘This campaign is an important step towards raising awareness of the correct disposal of used cooking oil. Everyone can make a contribution and we want to show people how easy it is to help conserve resources,’ explains Bechtoldt.

Valuable collaboration with REWE

The cooperation with Sedat Tekin, the committed tenant of the two REWE stores in Heusenstamm, is of great importance for the success of the campaign. ‘Mr Tekin supports our initiative with great enthusiasm and not only provides us with the locations, but also actively helps to raise awareness of the issue among customers,’ says Kallien.

Simple way to more climate protection

Incidentally, Münzer Deutschland GmbH processes the collected used cooking oil into high-quality biodiesel, which in turn makes an important contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. ‘Our initiative offers citizens an easy way to get involved in climate protection. With this campaign, we are focussing on direct communication and tangible benefits for the participants,’ says Managing Director Ewald-Marco Münzer.
