1991
Kommerzialrat (honorary commercial councillor) Ewald Münzer Sen. founds the Münzer business as “Abfluss-Reinigungs-Dienst KEG”.
1993
Change of name to Ewald Münzer GmbH, focussed on the disposal of liquid waste using special machinery.
1999
Co-founding of BioDiesel Kärnten GmbH and launch of waste-based biofuel production.
2003
Co-founding of MM Kanal-Rohr-Sanierung GmbH for the innovative, trenchless remediation of sewers, pipes, shafts and elevated drinking water tanks.
2004
Founding of BioDiesel Vienna GmbH as part of the Münzer Group, and concept design of the largest BioDiesel production plant in Austria at the Lobau oil terminal in Vienna.
2005
Ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of Austria's largest and most modern BioDiesel production plant at the Lobau oil terminal in Vienna.
2006
Opening and commissioning of the BioDiesel production plant and of the processing plant for pharmaceutical glycerine at the Lobau oil terminal in Vienna in May 2006.
2009
Merger of all subsidiaries into a single company, Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH.

Launch of a national collection system for used cooking oil based on
innovative, hygienic and practical containers.
2010
Construction of the Austria's largest plant for the processing of used cooking oil as raw material for BioDiesel production, at the Lobau oil terminal in Vienna.
2011
Construction and completion of the Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH headquarters site in Sinabelkirchen, Styria.
2014
Acquisition of the BioDiesel production plant in Paltental, Styria, increasing Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH’s annual BioDiesel production capacity to over 200,000 tonnes.
2015
Construction of a recycling plant for e-waste, such as (semi-)precious metals including aluminium, copper, etc., at the Sinabelkirchen site.
2016
Founding of Muenzer Bharat Private Ltd. in Mumbai, India; establishment of a used cooking oil collection system and construction a processing plant.

Acquisition of the used cooking oil collection business of Ölwert GmbH based in Langenlois, Lower Austria, and Ölwert Deutschland GmbH in Germany.
2017
Expansion of the tank farm for the processing of used cooking oil and construction of office space at the Lobau oil terminal site in Vienna.

Ceremonial opening and commissioning of the BioDiesel production plant in Navi Mumbai, India, with capacity to produce 3,000 tonnes of BioDiesel per year from 100 % used cooking oil.

Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH acquires Rotie UCO Trade B.V., based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, making it the largest private collector of and trader in waste oils and fats in Europe.

Acquisition of majority shareholding as a partner in the joint venture H-Bio Kft. based in Tényő, Hungary; establishment of a used cooking oil collection system for the catering trade and private households.

Founding of Muenzer Kenya Private Ltd. in Nairobi, Kenya; establishment of a used cooking oil collection system.
