Economic mission to East Africa
Austrian Minister of Economy and Labour, Dr Martin Kocher, was on an economic mission to East Africa at the beginning of this week in order to expand political, and subsequently also economic, relations in the region.
Kenya was one of the countries visited. Reason enough for us to invite the minister's business delegation to visit our fat processing plant in Nairobi.
On Tuesday, the Münzer Kenya Pvt. Ltd. team hosted the Austrian business delegation led by Federal Minister Dr Martin Kocher at the company’s fat processing plant in Nairobi. Münzer is one of only 15 Austrian companies operating in Kenya – and more especially it is the most recently established. The Minister was highly impressed that Münzer Kenya had been successfully established in 2021, in the midst of the Covid lockdowns.
On a tour of the plant, the route taken by the used cooking oil from delivery through to the loading bay for export was explained. Key areas of focus were our high safety standards, and the special attention we pay to the protection of our workers.
